Excellence of Adhan (call to prayer) in Islam

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah  saying:

"When you hear the Adhan, repeat what the Mu'adhdhin says. Then ask Allah to exalt my mention because everyone who does so will receive in return ten rewards from Allah. Then beseech Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah, which is a high rank in Jannah, fitting for only one of Allah's slaves; and I hope that I will be that man. If any one asks Al-Wasilah for me, it becomes incumbent upon me to intercede for him.''

Quran will intercede on the Day of Judgment -Muslim

Abu Umamah ( RadhiAllahu 'anhu ) reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying:

"Read the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.''

[Muslim]

Commentary:
This Hadith tells the excellence of reciting the Quran and acting upon its injunctions. Intercession (in this Hadath) means that the Quran will be endowed with the power of speech by Allah and it will request Allah to forgive the sins of its reciters who acted upon its teachings. Allah will accept the request of the Quran, as signified in other Ahadith

Praying Sunnah after the Friday Prayer (Salah)

Abu Hurairah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If anyone of you performs the Friday prayer, he should perform four Rak`ah (Sunnah) after it.''

[Muslim] Riyad-us-Saliheen – Hadith No: 1126.

Ibn `Umar (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported: the Prophet ﷺ would not perform any Salat (in the mosque) after the Friday prayer till he had returned to his house. He would then perform two Rak`ah there.

[Muslim] Riyad-us-Saliheen – Hadith No: 1127.

Commentary:
In one Hadith, there is mention of four Rak`ah, while in the other it is mentioned as two Rak`ah. It can be deduced that both of these are acceptable. `Ulama' are of the opinion that one who performs them in the mosque, should perform four Rak`ah; whereas the one performing them at home, should perform two Rak`ah with one Taslim. It is better to perform them in twos as the Prophet (PBUH) is reported to have said, "Perform the Nawafil of the day and night in twos.'' (Al-Bukhari).

Four characteristics (signs) of a pure hypocrite

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radhiallahu 'anhu), the Prophet ﷺ said:

"Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up,

1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.

2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.

3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.

4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner."

Love one another for the sake of Allah's Glory

Mu`adh (bin Jabal) (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported,

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"Allah, the Exalted, has said: `For those who love one another for the sake of My Glory, there will be seats of light (on the Day of Resurrection), and they will be envied by the Prophets and martyrs".
