When a Muslim spends on his family it is sadaqa for him

Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari (Radhi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"When a Muslim spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is regarded as sadaqa for him."

[Sahih Bukhari - Book 64 - Hadith 263]
